MYSTERY MAN!

What’s Up With This??

We are seeking a handful of talented “Mystery Men”– AKA 10 different talented performers (and you needn’t wear a paper bag on your head!) to be featured in each individual performance of “Flawed & Fabulous” during Act 2 — our Improvised Scenes. Must be extremely comfortable with off-the-wall prompts, audience input, and be decisive about your persona and objective upon entering the scene. There will be mentions of various male characters during Act 1, providing you with a natural choice (i.e. portraying a disgruntled husband, a cheating boyfriend, a divorce attorney, an unsure dentist, a self-conscious masseuse, etc) or you have the option to invent an entirely new identity–so really, anything goes! This will be a paid guest appearance role. If this sounds like fun and you want to be one of our Mystery Men (your name not to be announced until intermission to heighten audience suspense!) please drop an email to Stephanie Gittleman at CreativeByNight1@yahoo.com

Mystery Date is a board game game from Milton Bradley released in 1965 in which a different “Mystery Man” was behind this door each time a player opened it. Marketed to girls 6-14 years of age and referenced as a trope in TV and film. Will YOUR photo appear behind this door in the lobby during intermission of “Flawed & Fabulous?”
